Families around Minneapolis have easy access to farm parks set among the fields and countryside just outside the city. These spots offer a relaxed break from urban life, with space to roam, fresh air, and a slower pace that suits younger kids and grown-ups alike. Whether you’re after a half-day outing or a longer visit, the farms in this area make for a simple, satisfying day trip.
Before you head out, check the farm’s own website for current opening times and any activities on offer. Wear sturdy shoes or boots, since ground conditions can be muddy or uneven. If you’re visiting during a school holiday, it’s worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment.
Distances are measured in a straight line from downtown Minneapolis, so allow extra time by road.
