South Australia has a good spread of farm parks and petting zoos, perfect for a relaxed family day out. Whether you’re near the hills, along the coast or out in wine country, there are farm-style attractions offering hands-on visits, open paddocks and a slower pace away from the city.
Before you head off, check the farm’s own website for opening times and what’s included, as these can change with the seasons. Wear sturdy shoes suited to muddy or uneven ground, and book ahead if you’re visiting during school holidays when spots can fill quickly.
This guide features a selection of farms from across South Australia. See all 55 farm parks in South Australia on the map.
