Utah’s mix of high desert and mountain valleys makes for a great backdrop to a family farm day out. Across the state you’ll find farm parks and petting zoos offering hands-on time with animals, open-air spaces to roam, and a relaxed change of pace from city life. Whether you’re near the Wasatch Front or out toward rural valleys, there’s likely a farm-style outing within easy reach for young kids and grown-ups alike.
Before you head out, check the farm’s own website for current opening times and any seasonal closures. Wear sturdy shoes or wellies, since ground can be muddy or dusty depending on the weather, and consider booking ahead during school holidays when spots fill up fast.
