Gloucestershire has a good spread of farm parks and petting farms, making it an easy choice for a family day out close to home or as part of a countryside break. Expect a mix of open fields, farmyard animals and undercover play areas, giving you options whatever the weather brings.
Before you set off, check the farm’s own website for opening times and any booking requirements, especially during school holidays. Pack wellies or sturdy shoes, as ground can be muddy, and bring a change of clothes for younger children who like to get stuck in.
