Lincolnshire has a good spread of farm parks and petting farms, set among the county’s wide open countryside and quiet lanes. Whether you’re near the coast or closer to the market towns inland, you’ll find places where children can get close to animals, explore outdoor play areas and enjoy a relaxed day away from screens. It’s an easy way to fill a weekend or school holiday with something the whole family can enjoy together.
Before you set off, check the farm’s own website for opening times and admission details, as these can change with the seasons. Wear suitable footwear, as fields and yards can get muddy, and it’s worth booking ahead during busy school holiday periods.
