Alabama offers a range of farm parks and petting zoos perfect for a laid-back family day out. Whether you’re near the coast, in the hill country, or closer to the cities, you’ll find rural spots where kids can wander open fields, meet farm animals up close, and enjoy fresh country air away from screens and city noise.
Before you head out, check the farm’s own website for current opening times and any seasonal closures. Wear sturdy shoes or wellies, since fields can get muddy, and consider booking ahead if you’re visiting during school holidays or weekends.
This guide features a selection of farms from across Alabama. See all 61 farm parks in Alabama on the map.
