East Sussex has a good spread of farm parks and petting farms, making it an easy choice for a family day out close to home or as part of a countryside break. Rolling fields and quiet lanes set the scene, with plenty of space for children to get close to farm life and enjoy some fresh air.
Before you set off, check each farm’s own website for opening times and what to bring, as these can vary. Wellies or sturdy shoes are a sensible choice given the outdoor terrain, and booking ahead is worth doing during school holidays when demand is higher.
