Louisiana has a good spread of family-friendly farms where kids can meet animals, explore the outdoors, and enjoy a slower-paced day away from screens. Whether you’re near the bayous, the rolling hills up north, or closer to the coast, you’ll find farm parks and petting zoos offering hands-on visits that suit toddlers through older children alike. These spots make for an easy weekend outing across the state.
Before you head out, check the farm’s own website or social media for current hours and any seasonal closures. Wear shoes that can handle mud or grass, and bring sun protection if you’re visiting during warmer months. If you’re planning a visit during school holidays or weekends, calling ahead is a good idea.
This guide features a selection of farms from across Louisiana. See all 49 farm parks in Louisiana on the map.
