Massachusetts has a good spread of family farms where kids can meet animals, explore barns, and enjoy some fresh air outside the city. Whether you’re near Boston, out in the Berkshires, or somewhere in between, you’ll find welcoming spots suited to little ones and grown-ups alike, often with seasonal activities depending on the time of year.
Before you set out, check each farm’s own website for opening times and any advance booking needed, especially during school holidays. Wear boots or old shoes that can handle mud, and pack layers since weather can shift quickly across the state.
This guide features a selection of farms from across Massachusetts. See all 146 farm parks in Massachusetts on the map.
