Minnesota offers plenty of relaxed options for a family farm day out, from petting zoos to open farm parks where kids can wander, explore, and get close to animals in a hands-on setting. Whether you’re near the Twin Cities or out toward the countryside, there are farm experiences suited to different ages and interests, making it easy to plan a simple outing without much fuss.
Before you head out, check the farm’s own website for opening times and any seasonal activities, since these can change. Wear boots or shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and consider booking ahead if you’re visiting during school holidays or weekends.
This guide features a selection of farms from across Minnesota. See all 108 farm parks in Minnesota on the map.
